We were incredibly fortunate to be out in Austin last week for TCEA, showing our STAAR Test Maker software and best-in-class item bank to educators from all over Texas.
Dozens of Texas teachers, principals, and administrators stopped by our booth to see STAAR Test Maker in action. Many were really impressed by our ease of use and aligned item bank, and we hope everyone can see how we can help improve instruction in the classroom.
There are lots of questions out there regarding the new STAAR, and we answered plenty of them. Many asked about how our items were developed, and if the rigor was present in the questions. We were happy to explain that we develop all of our items internally, and they’re written specifically to the TEA release samples, STAAR blueprints, and Readiness and Supporting Standards. We had to make several trips to the printer, because we kept running out of samples!
We also informed people about our new partnership with eduphoria! Now educators can create tests in eduphoria’s SchoolObjects:Aware platform using our premium bank of more than 20,000 aligned questions. We’re thrilled to have a great partner in Texas, and many districts will benefit from having quality items at their fingertips.
